Kiko’s Den: Where Thoughtful Curation Meets Local Style

A spirited fox (affectionately nicknamed Kiko) who once brought magic to owner Angelina's childhood backyard now inspires a Main Street shop, where that same sense of playful discovery guides every unique find that makes its way onto the shelves.

This is Angelina’s second summer in Canandaigua at Kiko’s Den and her desire to bring thoughtfully sourced products directly to Main Street gives local residents and tourists alike the opportunity to find high quality and unique items from people Angelina knows personally - not something that can be said when shopping at a big box store.

She can tell you exactly where the bees live that provided the wax for the candles displayed in the back of the shop. The jar candles are sourced from a woman in Rochester with scents such as the familiar Rochester Lilac and the playful Marry Rich. Each year she takes a much anticipated trip to Belize in order to purchase vibrant beaded jewelry and household items like handmade trivets; she explains the color variations are the result of different stages of growth the plants were picked. She speaks of her vendors like old friends and they hail from places like Arizona, North Carolina, Ohio, and of course, right down the street here in the Finger Lakes.

Kiko’s Den specializes in women’s clothing, jewelry, and accessories which means you can find everything you might need for a casual day on the water, or strolling downtown, as well as pieces for an evening out. There is even a collection of beach reads, a section for furry friends, and unique items perfect for hostess gifts, birthdays or themed gift baskets. 

In addition to regular shop offerings, Angelina recently launched a permanent jewelry service for clients 16 and older. Private permanent jewelry parties are also available where the store is closed to the public, snacks and drinks are served and small groups can celebrate, mingle and shop.
