On North Main Street in downtown Canandaigua, Patty's Place is a long-standing restaurant with a rich history dating back to 1892, when it first opened as the "Railroad Lunch." This establishment has seen numerous owners over the years, with each contributing to its evolution, including Mr. Andrews, who renamed it the "Star Lunchroom" in 1906, and later, Jordan and Socrates Marty, who modernized the front of the building and installed the first neon sign. The restaurant has been known by several names, including "Marty's Restaurant" and "The Flying Star," before finally becoming Patty's Place in 1994.

Patty's Place is currently owned by Jennifer Shedrick, who purchased the restaurant in 2017 after working as a waitress there for 20 years. The restaurant is known for its homemade bread, muffins, soups, and salads, as well as its daily breakfast and lunch specials, including signature dishes like the "Best Ever" Eggs Benedict and Cinnamon Bun Pancakes. The establishment is a staple in the community, offering a cozy atmosphere and a menu that showcases the owner's commitment to using fresh, local ingredients.
